Honesty Starts With You

I believe for anyone to love or even like another
You must first enjoy your own company and like yourself
The first woman in your life to show you love, is your mother
This lady will teach you kindness and love for others

Those lucky ones that had a good childhood
This is just a given and is very easily understood
Be honest and kind to others as best you can
Although there are times, you may have to take a stand

Don't look for faults in others and in their ways
Live and let live is what I always say
Why do some go out of their way
to verbally run people down
They have problems with their self
at least that's what I have always found

To sum it all up
Be honest and kind each and every day
Don't worry about what others have to say
Stay honest and true all your life through
If others can't be, then find someone new
Let the chips fall where they may
If there going to fall on you, just get out of the way

If one can not be honest and true to yourself
How can you be honest and true to anyone else
You can run from many things your entire life through
But you can't run from you
