Lonely Gentleman

As the pedals drip from these pretty red roses
The moon in the night sky like a lonely gentleman poses
He knows when you are away ~ he will miss you so
Wishes on a star that you didn't have to go

As seven spanish angels plays
He prays that to happiness ~ you will find your way
He knows that you and he shall never meet
That doesn't stop his heart from skipping a beat

He has seen all your gentle loving ways
You show them to him more each day
He adores your friendship more than you know
Appreciates all the kindness you have shown

For your health and happiness he does pray
As he dances across the clouds till the break of day
Your good friend he will always be

In case you haven't guessed it
This lonely gentleman is me
